    APPV and ESS

Can I use APPV if I have a FTE of 101 using ESS?

Not sure about the software assurance stuff. I definitely have SA but didn't see APPV as a beneifit in the VLSC?

On the previous schemes AppV was an additional cost option, only available to those with SA already. I assume it's an option you can add to ESS too, it's not part of the standard bundle though.

You have to buy the MDOP as an additional line item. It is not expensive, around 2-3 if i recall. Edit: Per FTE

Is there a trial usage term? I'd like to package up some older boxford cad cam software but I'd like to see if would even work.

If you have ESS/SA then you should have complimentary TechNet Plus subscription that allows you to install for evaluation purposes. I haven't read the exact terms so not sure if it only covers lab environments. Worth a look though.

    Edit, yep lab environment only:

You may not use it in a live operating environment, a staging or production environment
You should be able to test it yourself, just don't let normal users loose on it.
