[Windows Software] Windows 7 32bit oem - 64bit?

Hi people,

Looking at new machines, and am looking at the possibility of using 64bit windows 7. Does anyone know if the Win 7 Pro 32bit oem license can be used on 64bit ok? Or is this an iffy ground?

I believe OEM is tied to one or the other, you'd need to upgrade through volume licensing (eg school agreement, select plus etc). How about purchasing a home basic OEM then purchasing a volume upgrade to Professional or Ultimate?

the same code works on either has done on vista /2008 /2008r2 / win7

I am under the impression you can use your license on 32 or 64 bit as they class them as the same version.
