School use of music on a dvd to sell to parents

I take it when a school makes a photo dvd with a slideshow of photos they cannot use music in the charts purchased via itunes for example.

Does anyone know any sites or places to get music that could be put on a dvd as background music to photos which would be sold to parents?

    Thanks

Do you have a school band / choir you have recordings of? That may be a suitable alternative...

Googling royalty free music brings up a few sites, but I can't vouch for them

I've used http://incompetech.com/music/ when I've needed some in the past, definitely nothing like chart music, but there may be something suitable... he just asks for credit when it's used...

I've used Audiojungle in the past, you pay a small amount for the music but then it's yours to use as you want, and the quality is good.

Creative Commons is a good place to look for this.

I look for Creative Common stuff on soundclick.com. I've found some interesting variations on a theme for example

I always email the musician and give them credits. Even when it's not Creative Common I've never had a refusal for non-commercial stuff. Usually, they are chuffed that their music is appreciated.

My wife says the my background music can be overpowering, so I have started to compose my own using Ejay. Even a simple drum rhythm can produce a great effect.
