Need something clearing up if possible. Had a look around but can't get my head round this!
I've been asked to take on a new school. At the moment there is no Microsoft Agreement in place at all. Everything is individually licensed, so essentially we are starting from scratch.
I will be building a new virtual server environment. 1 physical host (Hyper-V 2008 or XenServer) with 2 virtual servers that will both be running Windows Server 2008 R2. We're having the physical server built to spec with no OS as I will be installing one of the free virtual host operating systems mentioned above.
What do I need to buy to ensure the 2 virtual servers are appropriately licensed?
For desktops (Win7, CALs, Office etc), we will be purchasing a Microsoft EES Agreement, or perhaps expanding ours as this school is part of our Academies Trust that has floating staff. It's the server side I'm scratching my head about.
