    EES and System Centre 2012

We have an EES agreement the core cal pack not enterprise. Paid up for all three years already. Do I need anything extra to run System Centre? If so what?

As I have been told by a reseller that it is included with EES...

    Anyone?

You'll need the Server Licence - doesn't cost that much to add to your EES.

The licence you have covers all your clients.

You only need server licenses to manage servers. There isn't a specific license to run an SCCM server, just the licenses for the devices you manage with it - the core cal pack covers the workstations, so you just want licenses to manage servers. If you want to manage them that is.

Thanks guys... So will need a few server licenses then. That's not too bad then.

    Thanks again!

If you use virtual servers, the datacenter licenses can work out cheaper. We've bought 2 datacenter licenses this year, as that covers all our virtual servers.

I think, expand on answers already given, it may be worth noting that System Center is a suite of related products and not just one product. It would help to understand exactly what parts of System Center you want to use and how you plan to use them before any real advise on licensing can be given.

As as been rightly pointed out most of the licenses for use with desktop PC's are included in EES to if all you want to do is use features of System Centre with your desktops (Anti-Virus, Config Manager, etc) then you probably already have all the licenses you need. If you want to manage servers (Virtual Machine Manager, Data Protection, Anti-Virus, etc) then you almost certainly need to buy additional licences.
