    First time EES Agreement

    Hi,
We're looking at setting up our school with a EES agreement to replace the Ad-Hoc licenses.

Our usual software channel ServiceBirmingham - seem to be presenting me with more problems than answers.

Has anybody got any experience with a Microsoft licensing partner that they have favourable experience with?

    Any contacts, names, numbers welcomed.

    Cheers guys.

For the purposes of calculating FTE staff numbers, should we include dinner ladies that solely use electronic tills with Windows embedded on them?

Does the licence not come with the till if it's embedded?

EES licencing is not licenced per device it's per FTE member of staff.

The devices must have a licence that qualifies for the educational upgrade.

I meant, does use of such a till constitute use of a computer for the purposes of calculating FTE numbers.

We have EES and this wasn't an issue for us, but it strikes me as odd if things like tills can't be covered by their original licence - in this instance because it is the only time the user comes into contact with an MS product. I thought FTE staff with no access to devices were exempt.

No you do not need to include dinner ladies regardless of if they are using a till with embedded sw or not.
