    Can i use a VOLUME licensing ISO with a standalone laptop OEM KEY

    Hi Guy/gals

    We have a brand new laptop which has its discs "taken" but it has a win7 oem key on the bottom..... am i able to use our Volume Licensing ISO and use the key on the bottom of the laptop to activate?

    thx in advance.....

    EDIT: Dont have a Win7 Home Prem iso anyway

    should work as long as you install home/pro same as sticker

    If it's a Windows 7 Pro Volume ISO, with a Windows 7 Pro OEM serial, yes it does work.

    nah its a home prem key and i cant find home prem iso in the downloads section (which makes sense). thx anyway guys/gals

    Is there not an option to make a set of recovery disks when you boot the laptop?

    Yep, just a real shame it was given to the end user before me! 1 day it took LOL and we dont have another one

    home premium is on the disk (as long as its not enterprise) you just cant see it you either need to edit the iso (or easier use usb to install) and remove ei.cfg from the sources folder it now asks which version of sindows you want to install

    or just shove the dvd into wds it will list all versions and just create deploy that
