Assuming you mean on a standalone machine...
Desktop Properties > Customize Desktop
oops...sorry dude...on my network...how do i give them a my documents that maps to their home drive...sorry
That would be in group policy on the domain ( folder re direction ) and re direct there "My Docs" and what ever else to there home areas etc

does this work with offline files? I thought it would be similar to just mapping a drive but with a prettier logo?
I may be getting the wrong end of the stick here but here goes:
Our Students/Staff have their home folders mapped as U: on the network so as admin map a U:\ to a network share and create a shortcut to U:\ [not the network share. Copy the shortcut to the shared student desktop.
Job done [I hope]
That sounds like a better option, but i'd like it to pick up their home folder not everyone elses....which im guessing that would do....am i wrong?
oh hang on...i may have the wrong end of the stick...
Their home drive is H: so if i map a H: to their area it'll pick up their home folder?
lol cheers i got it.....its far to early for all this thinking!!
