Idiots guide to installing LNM?
This is probably a really stupid question, but hey what's new from me
I am in the process of trying to install LNM on a test machine. It wants the 'Windows Server 2003 Sp 1' disk - I am assuming it means the OS disk with Service Pack 1 on it, not just the Service pack 1 disk - is that right?
And if so - how do i create a disk/iso from w2k3 and the service pack? can i join them together on one disk?
As usual, all help gratefully accepted.

You can use Nlite for this.

Thanks for that - excellent piece of software. Did the job easily and quickly.
However now have an error message during installation:
"Method '~' of object '~' failed"
Any ideas anyone?

Have you tried a normal install to check if Server 2003 Disc is ok? Alot of people have run into trouble with LNM and gave up in the end.

Re: Idiots guide to installing LNM?
I have made many w2k3 with sp 1 ISOs and none of them seem to work with LNM.
Has anyone please got any ideas regarding what I should do now?
Do I need to buy an original copy of the w2k3 with sp 1?
Could it be the machine I am trying to load it onto? Somesort of hardware conflict?
All goes well, until it asks for the w2k3 disc and then it starts loading, but always stops at the "driver.cab" files, says
"Method '~' of object '~' failed"
and then says files cannot be found.
Any ideas, anyone? Pleassssssssssssssssssssse!

Slightly off topic but Sims Has done this to us a few times while starting.
Solution was to update MDAC (microsoft data access components)
seem to fix the problem.
Maybe worth a try

I don't know, but can't you just slipstream a Server 2003 disk in the same way as an XP disk?
Just a thought

So have I, umpteen times and none of them work in the installation of LNM as I have said above.
Now I have ordered CC3 and I'm very happy with the decision.
