Anyone got a working copy please?!
Hello!
This is my first post so I apologise for any newbie mistakes or reptitions........
I need to get a copy of learning network manager that actually works (i.e. it boots the server and gets the process going).
I'm no expert but I am fairly comfortable with 'technology' but at the same time I know when to ask for help.....Help!
I've been tasked to setup a server for a primary school environment as quickly as possible. This is my first major (for me!) task and given my lack of knowledge and experience in building from scratch, the LNM seemed like a great way to get a system up and running fast that I could study and tweak afterwards.
I've had a look through the lnm section and downloaded the iso but i can't get it to boot the server. I've used iso buster and ensured that the CD is made 'bootable' but it's not happening. The best I've got is the server boots to an A: prompt (?!), which I think is the default boot disk software within the burning software (NTI Gold). I've tried various flavours of Nero without success. I'm running out of time and need to produce something by the end of half term.
Can anyone lend, send, give, sell me a copy of lnm that will get me up and running please? I'm happy to download it from your site or usend etc.
I would be very grateful for any help. Many thanks in advance.

1st February 2008, 09:42 AM #3 The Microsoft download site is here in case you did not get it from this source.
I would try booting the cd in a different computer to make sure that it is not a configuration issue on the server. If it has an older bios it may be trying to boot using floppy drive emulation or something. If it boots in another maching I would make sure that you have the latest BIOS update in the server and that it is configured correctly to boot from CD.

.......on a test server. So far so good. It still works after applying SP2 and the latest updates.
It's made the project late but at least the powers that be can see it up and running, so don't have to slacken off the purse-strings (just yet, anyway!) and I've got until Easter to deploy it.
Thanks to all on this post and other threads for the valuable info.
If anyone wants a copy of the CD i made, I'll be happy to post one or two out.
