Killer WiFi
:mrgreen:
Haha, when I hear 'Killer Wifi' I have images of access points slinking down corridors and through swimming pools with fin's attached to the top and attacking children. :P
It's a bit harsh about the "eats the baby" but the rest MUST BE TRUE!

That explains a lot about BGFL research techniques :roll:Quote:

Wifi is killer I read the facts and believe them to be true. Does that make it realistic or pessimisti. I believe it could be serious because the way we are going is pushing wifi out everywhere. In schools this could be dangerous kids are constantly in the range of wifi for most of there lives. Just in case you forgot majority of kids are in schools for 6 years and majority of schools push kids towards computers. Tell me what u think, hilarious link eduabncs.
Nice one eduabncs, I like it :P
Actually I was off the clock and at home Alan. One was studying for CCNA at the time...! One of the suggested sites my instructor recomended I use for study had the link!Quote:

I once suffered severe burns to my fingers handling a ships radio mast whilst the transmitter was hot.
I certainly belive that the uncontrolled and unplanned proliferation of wifi into every home and office in the uk and the world will contribute in some way to the detriment of mankind wether it be directly or indirectly.
We all accept pollution and traffic jams and look what that has done to the polar caps in no time at all!
I will continue to use my phone, pda, laptop 3 access points and 400w VHF/UHF Transciver that I have in my house but will I be concerned when my next door neighbours new baby is born with one eye and two noses!
The hell I will. Now where did I put that linear AMP..... :twisted:
Geoff: Snap.. except only 5 years. 73 de M0PHP :)
I was told the other day that a crt give of more radation than most things and we sit in fround of them. If you want to know something reall scary there is a place in devon called dartmoor it has more radition than anywhere else due to the fact is is all on quartz and gives of radon gas.
Yup, they can and do emit X-Rays, albeit at a low level normally.
However, if you turn up the EHT too far (i.e. 'captain screwdriver' makes 'adjustments') then they become rather wonderful X-Ray devices.
This applies to pretty well all thermionic devices (valves, tubes, bottles, depending on what area of the planet you're from) if incorrectly biased.
LMAO, rep++ :D
God....who dug up this old thread! :eek:
