In other words, the Microsoft Hyper-V is still not up to scratch when compared with Xen and VMWare, so they are washing their hands of it.
I didn't say it was missing anything. I said it wasn't up to scratch. It might have all the features and more of Xen, but it was a complete pain to get working when I tried it around 4 months ago. In fact, I spent 2 weeks jumping through hoops to try and get it going on our brand new hardware, and in the end opted for Xen which I got going in about 10 minutes - in that manner, it isn't up to scratch.
Odd one there - I found it as easy to setup as installing a copy of Server 2008 R2 on any normal bit of server kit.
Setting things up for HA was again very easy with System Centre doing all the leg work.
