Just seen that. Happy birthday the C64, the many hours playing Elite were (not) wasted![]()
I played a lot of Crush, Crumble and Chomp. When Jumpman was released, I loved that too; "Destroy him my robots!". The best games were, of course, written by Jeff Minter. Who can forget Hover Bovver, AMC, Sheep in Space, etc?
Man brings back memories my first system my dad bought me from dixons (I still have it in the attic somewhere) with terminator 2 judgment day cartridge. Later purchasing a cassette drive, joystick and then Dizzy series, extractorator, trolls, impossamole, stunt runner, Ghouls and Ghosts and so many more aaaah memories! And borrowing those adventure books from the library with pages of code to type in and my introduction to programming!
Happy Birthday C64!!! Awesome then and still awesome now.
Loved my C64, two player games with my mates were my highlights such as Bubble Bobble , Combat school (broke many a joystick with that, Silk Worm. And used to love the Olympic style games such as Winter games , summer games, World games (anyone for log rolling) and of course California games.
Anyone know where i can get me a C64 emulator form my droid along with a copy of they stole a million ?
Love it, love it, love it!!
Check the geek joke at 3:12 which falls on stony silence![]()
