    Depends how you view this one. From one aspect it is telling the truth, the other aspect is it is lying.

    Truth:

    Nothing is written in stone - the word nothing is actually written in stone

    Lie:

    Nothing is written in stone - well something obviously is written in stone

    Quite so. I had intended to make the thread title:

    Don't Believe Everything You Read...?
    but a member of staff came into the office and distracted me at the time of posting.
