No apology is required as you didn't actually accuse me, I was just ensuring you knew it wasn't me.
Not that it matters, I have little time for the rep system anyway.

7th June 2011, 05:51 PM #168 But the thought is as bad as the deed.
I bet it was mattx, using his smartphone, whilst overtaking the wrongside of keep left sign on a zebra crossing full of blind nuns.

7th June 2011, 07:26 PM #169 The problem with nuns using a zebra crossing is they keep disappearing and reappearing...damn camouflage...

Not a lot of people know that there's half a dozen nuns on the Abbey Road album cover.

The question arises is there even a zebra crossing then?

I always assumed there was a zebra on the crossing.

"Ninja Zebra hidden in plain sight!"

18th October 2011, 11:19 AM #173 I'd knock bikers off in my car if they acted like this on the road if it wasn't Illegal as a demonstration your taking the Pi**. I don't think it's acceptable to weave around the traffic in the ways seen in the Video regardless of how competent you are. you put other people in danger just as much as car drivers. nice camera tho

18th October 2011, 11:21 AM #174 Just sit there in your cage wasting your life away then.

So... the choice is 'weave through traffic, putting others in danger' or 'sit in a car and waste your life'... Hmm. Where do you place 'walk' or 'get the bus' fit in?

Have you actually looked at a biker before?
Have you not noticed how much higher they sit, than you in your car? Therefore, they actually have the best view of the road ahead.
As mentioned before, I am NOT a biker...never have been, and never will....My best mate was killed at 16 on one....but that doesn't mean that I cannot appreciate riding skills.
And I can't believe how this thread has been resurrected, like an un-dead discussion, now wandering through the internet looking for other discussions to cannibalise!

18th October 2011, 11:40 AM #177 hahaha. for the record I'd don't dislike bikers and would ride my self but cant afford it right now anyway but .. it still doesn't give you the right to treat the road like you own it. and there is nothing to be said to prove otherwise.
why exactly would I be wasting away..

I'm pretty sure that that accusation could be levelled at any number of drivers on the road, not just bikers!
What about that BMW that is always up your a*** in the outside lane of the motorway? Or the Beemer that HAS to pull out of that turning, as you approach it? Or the Beemer.....Hold on.....wait a minute! It's bikers and BMW drivers that are the curse!!!! Now we've sorted that out, can we have a ritualistic burning of them ALL????

18th October 2011, 11:58 AM #179 no but the topic is about bikers. open it up to other drivers if you wish. I'm constantly muttering under my breath at drivers who disregard the highway code. I don't claim to be a perfect driver but the amount of drivers that don't practice basic driving common sense and courtesy is just asking for trouble. I can take corners fast but I don't because one day it'll fail.

Not only that, but bikes generally have a better view of the road ahead due to positioning - as we have more road to play with it is much easier seeing around a (left-hand) corner by by moving to the right hand side of the road and vice versa. From behind a car, if I sit about a metre or so to the right of the car drive, I can see hazards infront of that car that a car driver wouldn't be able to see.
