Nooo - It was an alien disguised as an old woman about to attempt time travel! She/It is talking on their communicator to the mothership in orbit. What you don't see is her turning the corner and, once out of sight, is beemed up to the mother ship where they valiantly attempt a sling-shot around the Sun in order to time travel back to the future. Of course, as history shows, it went wrong and they ended up only making it as far as 1945 and crashed landed in the Navada Desert.

So there you have - aliens, we found them at last.

Or it's an old woman scratching her ear and talking to herself - I do that all the time.

She's shielding her eyes from the sun - look at the direction of the shadows. Maybe has glaucoma - which causes light sensitivity - and which was untreatable then. Mobile phone my *rse.

Close - more like a hearing aid from the 1920's:

Ok, not wanting to be Mr Obvious here, but surely it can't be as there wouldn't be any mobile towers in the 20's, so no signal, so no possibility of contacting someone? Or am I being far too to serious and logical here?

If it were a time traveller, do you not think there would be some form of tech for communicating with others whilst on 'expedition' or the like? :P
