    You know that cool flat /house you've finally made look perfect ? Once you have kids, all this is ruined. Trust me; I've lost one old VCR to toast insertion, three DVD players and we've aged about 15 years in the last ten....

    While admitting to feeding toast to the VCR player myself, through recalled tales from my parents, it goes the other way. My father has fed a kebab to his dvd player and decided his PS3 needed a drink of Strongbow, each a separate incident and both after copious amounts of alcohol...

    Tin of white emulsion curtesy of my youngest a couple of years back. Thankfully we own a good carpet cleaner. I had to take an afternoon off work though!

    That's lucky - this ban hammer is getting very heavy - one more twitch and I might just drop it

    (I especially like the one with the yogurt in the oven - with teenaged/early 20's kids I can just see that sort of thing happening)
