In Case Of Nuclear Attack: Advice From City Of Portland, Oregon

Not sure whether to laugh or be saddened by this: Similar to the UK's Government advice: Protect and Survive.

Point 4 and 7 give me the most cause for concern.

4 because putting a newspaper over your head will not protect you from any form of nuclear blast/fallout [none of the advice given here will really help you survive a nuclear attack]

7 because by implication there will be some fatalities as a result of 'what is going on'

I like how the corpses stay in lovely neat and tidy piles with the children on top.

Given that the Mayor at the time was Frank Ivancie, it dates the poster to between 1981-1985. Link

Thought the duck and cover advice went out in the 70's
