Takes a while is an understatement! I'm on a 20mb connection here, and it's treacle soup or not at all. Is it the site, or me? Can't seem to get the South East to view at all.

    Thanks anyway....

It's not you. Took me a couple of goes before it came down. The actual JPEG is only 1.2MB once you get it.

No problem - [ and thanks for the other link ] you have to say that the picture is a bit special - well to me it is. May be worth a canvass on the wall I think somewhere in my home.

My neck of the woods is covered in cloud. bah!

If you click the FSI Viewer in the top right hand corner on the page from the original "rapid" link, there are options there to download in high res, I think?

    This link:

seems OK now. Slight delay when first rendering the page [2 - 3 seconds] then the whole picture comes down at once.

That picture is amazing. Hopefully the UK will start to get proper winters now like italy / switzerland etc with guarenteed snow for at least a month.

You'll just need to learn to cope like they do and buy a set of snowtires and the .gov will need to buy some more snowploughs

Downloaded in a snap for me, stunning pic. Shows me as sort of snowed, bit sort of thin, with Bournmouth clear.
