    Fairly low bet that it was caused by a woman, much more likely to be caused by a male tourist out for the first time on the autobahn and not quite understanding that the speed limit's meant to be 'safe and reasonable', as in a speed at which you can comfortably control your car.

    Either that or a Blues Brothers fan.

    We record the German lunchtime news every day. They have, almost every day, an article that we have dubbed "Crash Of The Day"! Lots of rally hideous mangled cars, often buried in trucks or trees. I don't think that the Germans are very happy with safety on their own roads.
