Some of those first names are particularly unusual to be honest. I wonder if those names were funny when they were alive, or are us 21st century folk just malicious?

A few are quite/comparativley recent: I have gone back into the original post and changed the font colour for those that might be considered to be 'modern'

I have a friend who no word of a lie has 7 middle names, one of which is McClean.

Apparently his dad only wanted one son, so he got all the possible names. Always makes me laugh if he ever has to give his full name for anything.

    Mike.

Is she a presenter on Radio 4?

I always wonder whether "respected" (amongst those who believe in such things) psychic researcher Edgar Cayce wasn't having a laugh at his followers' expense.

When we went to register the birth of our son (now 3), the registrar told us about a couple in the previous week registering their baby girl.

I can't remember all of the 10 names, however two of them: Ocean Whatever...

The year before that poor child the same couple registered a boy with 10 names all taken from Knight Rider.

Their reason? "because you have to have a laugh don't you"

Continuing on the odd [anti-social?] names for your little ones I had the unfortunate experience of coming across these forenames for students while working for another LEA:

    1: Bedspring

    2: Beerbottle

There may have been others but upon seeing these I was determined that I should not remember any more. I would not have believed it had I not seen it for myself.

Unfortunatley these two have stayed with me all these years.

A friend of mine has a name which abbreviates to: Dick Willy Lang. Always a good one after a few at the pub.
