It's a tortoise over here! Turtles swim

And I'm afraid we get demonstrations of that from our male tortoise every summer. He's not fussy: shoes (even with someone wearing them), the base of the basketball net, large stones, the slug-pub...

He also seems to hate black bin bags, the wheelie bin, buckets and the lawnmower all of which he rams with his shell.

He had a girlfriend visit for a month last summer which diverted his attentions for a while. As he's still hibernating at the moment we have peace in the garden for the time being!
