    A conductor anticipates the music and gesticulates to 'bring in' the various instruments just before they are needed -and also sorts out any problems along the way - can a robot do that?

    And generally when a good orchestra plays a concert they have practised so much that they don't really need a conductor by then anyway.
    I would like to see a robot conducting but I don't think it could replace a real one.
    Sorry to take it seriously - I know it is a bit of fun but whilst I'm not the most knowledgeable tech in the world (hah! - bitter laugh) I do know about classical music and orchestras.
    You're right - what AM I doing here??
