Amazing stuff. Wouldn't have wanted to have been a passenger on that last one though - looks like he aborted and would have had to go around for another go!

We had a pilot slam the jet we were on so hard into the tarmac in Thailand that all the overhead luggage compartments flew open and all the bags and things fell out on everybody. He burst two tyres as well. When we came to halt he came over the address system with, "Whoops, sorry folks, that was a bumpy one!". I wasn't impressed and neither was everyone else, stewards and stewardesses included.

Reminds me of landing in the Falklands - the ground crew hold up scoreboards with numbers on rating the pilots on the landing - the harder they bump you down, the better they score! We got 8s and 9s as we came in with a bit of a thump!
