I go to the gym three times a week, but I don't do any legs; I get plenty of leg exercises doing my ballet classes. 1 If you are training legs, IMO squats are the way to go, but they are an awkward exercise to do correctly. Leg curl and extension machines are much easier.
1. As an added bonus, I get to hang around with a bunch of women who aren't wearing very much!

I incorporate pints of draught Old Peculiar into my pub routine ..... and feel much more rounded now!!!

When I was single for a year and cycling a lot I used to do a pilates class to avoid getting stiff. It was excellent. I should probably go back to doing that, the stretches aren't really cutting it.

I lost 2cm off my stomach in a month from just doing a lot of walking (Woo, Ingress!)
Should probably take up some form of 'proper' exercise too, but I'm too weedy and self-conscious to go to the gym.

Don't be self-conscious going to the gym, everyone starts somewhere and its getting up and going that's respected. Make sure you train properly and just ask people for decent routines.

I know it sounds daft, but from when I was playing rugby I was in the gym 3 times a week. I asked a random guy who was quite solidly built for help, he became my gym buddy and we developed a sound gym relationship. We spurred each other on and such like, and it worked for us. I will be doing the same again when I go again.

Me: Why yes I do the remote and hobnobs my good sir. Most day's this occurs it's a hard and frequent exercise and by the end of the pack you have got so buff you need to unbutton your trousers and sleep.
I have found this to be the only exercise that suits me!

Self-proclaimed gym nut here! Currently eating my final work meal of the day (Mexican rice and chicken breast nom!)
Squats and straight leg deadlift are my two favourite leg exercise. Couple of good sets of those and you will be walking around like John Wayne for days.
Not a 'Gym Buddy' guy though. Gym is my time, the only part of the day where i don't have to talk or listen to anyone. Headphones in, music on and block out the world for an hour. Highlight of my day.

At my gym headphones apparantly means come and talk to me about tattoos because I clearly have nothing better to do.
