Am I alone here or is Google having intermittent problems at the moment.
DNS seems to be working but I've been having real issues getting to the search engine for 10-20 minutes at a time..

seems to be ok here

Ok for me. Perhaps you ISP is having DNS issues - have you considered using OpenDNS as your nameservers?
Well strange you should suggest that... As far as I can tell it's resolving the domain name fine... I'll have a look and see if I can reset anything.Originally Posted by webman

It looks like there's a problem somewhere in the traceroute... Got a lot of dropped pings on part of the route.. 72.14.233.81
Odd.

Could be temporary routing issues - which ISP? Google.co.uk for me is 216.239.59.104.
That IP belongs to Google:

Try flushing your DNS cache.
It's possible the cluster you're connecting to is down!
I made a few changes to my DNS forwarder on win2k3 and then flushed the dns on the server and my workstation.
Seemed to do the trick. Thanks for the suggestions.

One day last week only admins could log in to our Googlemail accounts, and the other day all search requests resulted in a you-are-an-automated-service message and a catchpa to fill in before continuing. Something's going on over there...
