Just wondering if anyone else is getting a huge amount of these errors today? We have just switched to a new leased line this week and not sure if this is an issue with the connection or a general issue?
Getting it from 2 different internal routers so know it's not an internal issue.
I presume you're talking about HTTP 504 errors? It means "gateway timeout". If you are getting on a single site it means the site is having issues (usually a load balancer problem). If you are getting it on multiple sites then there is an issue with your internet connectivity. I've only ever seen this in the context on overloaded proxy servers. Does your new leased line involve going through a proxy?
Yes should have said HTTP 504 errors. We are getting it on all sorts of sites at various times. No proxy upstream that i know of. Will have to chase the new ISP about it then. Thanks.
There might be a proxy running transparently. Alternatively do you have an internal proxy? Perhaps that's misbehaving or is misconfigured somehow?
