Connect to wireless but no internet
I've got a couple of laptops in today that have connected to our wireless network. Once connected they need to navigate to an authentication page via their web browser and login using the creditials given to them which then allows them internet access. This normally works fine, but today I have had 2 users with problems browsing to the authenitcation page. The browser just responds with unable to connect which is because they haven't logged in, but they cannot log in because their browser wont browse the internet.
I have tried different browsers, resetting the laptops and turning off the firewall. Still it doesn't make any difference. The thing is, the wireless works with other laptops and other devices so our wirless settings seem ok, but for some reason these laptops cant browse the web. Is there something I have overlooked or can check to see if makes any difference.
I can also ping from these laptops, it seems only the browser is affected, it just so happens that it's the browser thats needed.
Can anyone offer me any advice on what I can check. These people are not in after today so chances are I wont be able to resolve it, but it would be good to know any checks I can make for future reference....I feel a bit stupid when things that should work dont and I dont know why.
