Sounds all too familiar to the problems experienced with the BGFL / Link2ICT. See discussion here
They also are using Checkpoint. Although things have settled now, the migration was an absolute disaster and also took a good week to resolve before the New Year.
Still to this day however, (I've tested numerous schools), they're still not getting the full 10Mbps bearing in mind they're on leased lines!
Any one else had problems today both my schools have been down fully for 30 mins and been intermittent with slow and time outs yesterday?
It seams to be every other week when we have loss of connection or some slowness with the connection.
Both our site's were down for 30 minutes today, After contacting BT about this, they told us that Northern Grid had a major outage in there network. All appears to be fine now.
We have had nothing but problems from them in the past month.
Yep, we've been off for about 30 minutes today as well...:(
I reported the outage to BT, but it took me about 20 minutes to get through on their helpline!!!
We've also had nothing but bother with NGFL since they went over to BT.
I wonder if there are any representatives of Northern Grid (NGFL) or BT corporate on here who would care to comment/update us on the situation?
We certainly won't be staying with them once our current contract expires. Far too unreliable!
Another BAD day with Northern Grid! :(
On and off at various times again today...apparently a possible DDoS attack on the BT network/JANET.
When will this get sorted out????
Wouldn't you think that one of the biggest telecoms companies in the country (i.e. BT) would be able to fix this????
We are now getting extremely annoyed at the situation, we use a lot of websites in lessons. its just so unreliable.
We are thinking about billing them for the overtime we have to do, catching up on work we cant do while its down
