Pupils bringing own laptop to school
Have people put an AUP in place for sixth formers bringing their own devices into school and using with either; (a) a dongle OR (b) through wireless access to the school network? Can anyone recommend a recent version that covers up-to-date technology and practices?

28th October 2011, 04:20 PM #2 No AUP as such, but every user has to be allowed through captive portal hence why we have an "Unsecured Wireless Network" so if they want access they have to ask - once they get connected they go through a proxy so everything is monitored.
Our captive portal login page has details describing how to get login information to be able to use our wireless network.
This has been set-up on our PfSense server, which plugs into the switch which has all of our wireless AP's plugged into it so which ever AP a user connects to they will be asked for authentication.
