Bt may do a deal but it means taking an 8 core ADSL line rather than fibre. Just be sure whoever you go with to be on an uncontended ring!!!

Yes, Speak to BT as I know you don't pay much of an increase one you get past the 10mbit connection. I just had one from BT for a Business (quite a far distance from the exchange as it is in the woods) 10/100 Circuit for 1k per month.

Some might say that is quite alot, but the distance does not go in my favour on this particular install..

Oh! and I had it all installed and live in 35 days as oppose to the normal lead time of 90

If it's for a school try giving LUNS (LUNS – Lancaster University Network Services) a bell. You may be pleasently surprised by what they offer.

I think more like 12k for 100MB - we were quoted just over 8k for 30Mb/s on 100MB bearer.

BTW - we were also quoted £4k installation to put the fibre in.

I honestly don't know. I do know several schools on here have their connections via them (if any of them care to comment please do), and they are a certified ISP so have local exchange access.

Our current LEA wan sits atop of the BT cabling and soon to be managed by capita hence the looking away (as they still want to keep us on a 10b connection - 900 clients > 10mb doesn't work!)
