Capita Certificate Download Blues
Our poor HR dept is currently pulling their hair out. They need to download a new certificate from the Teachers Pensions / Capita site.
This requires them to logon to an https site and download a .csv file. When they click on the file nothing happens. No time-outs, errors, dialogues, amusing juggling kitten pictures, nada.
We're using IE8 on XP. Cleared out the caches, tried with our admin level accounts, no luck. Stuck our by now slightly miffed HR chap on a laptop that has a link that bypasses our firewall, etc and he can download the certificate. However...he still can't download from their site.
I'm told we're not blocking or filtering https sites any differently to the way we always have. We did however download this stuff for him last year.
Any ideas what we might need to do?
(My apologies for the rather vague nature of the post)

Having searched for 'capita' on this forum that really doesn't surprise me. Their tech support insists that their end is fine, but this has been going on for a couple of weeks now.

7th July 2011, 08:09 PM #5 does when you hover over it give you a valid link address? could be some sort of action script (or server side script) which is not running correctly and giving you a valid URL just an image/download button!
