hi people
We have set up dansguardian and squid, and it is filtering lovely.
What we need to do now is have dg or squid (not sure which one has to do it) look at our ad and pick up our IEBLOCKED and our students groups.
The IEBLOCKED is students who are banned from the internet, and the other is the normal student group.
Anyone know how to do this?

6th December 2010, 06:35 PM #2 Have a look on the dansguardian website, all the info to do it is there.
Basically you set up a few filter groups. 1 for pupils, 1 for staff and 1 with no/limited access.
Use the script on the DG site to query AD and write a file mapping the users to teh correct groups. It will look like this;
filter1=bloggsj
filter2=staff1
filter3=etc
and away you go.
Theres a howto for DG on SUSE somewhere which shows you how to do most of it. But it will work on any distro
