Smoothwall UTM-1000 and Smoothwall Express for guest wireless.
MS ISA 2006 with GFI webmonitor.
SmoothWall but then that goes through the LEA's NetSweeper.
SWG-1200 for filtering and UTM-300 for firewall here
eBox on Virtual Machine
Squid with Dansguardian, though some of the other schools in the area use Websense via the LEA.
Forefront TMG. Relatively easy to setup (once I realised that TMG needed to be in domain to get per user filtering) and at £150 perpetual vs the £800/yr I was quoted for Smoothwall, it was a no brainer especially since we use it for other things too. Just run it on it's own virtual machine so no hardware cost.
I'm now quietly pleased by the hordes of Smoothie users - good to meet some more of you @ BETT!
getting my smoothie installed on wednesday!!! looking forward to it too. (I would do it myself but have way too much on my plate at the moment!!) and been using express for years
We did consider moving away from our LEA and getting a seperate line (in which case i would have got a smoothie) but the cost of the internet alone was more then the 11k we pay our lea not including any costs for the smoothie box, moodle hosting etc
The new Zentyal looks good and runs in VM
We use Smoothwall Network Guardian. Running it on a VM. Our local authority purchased it for all schools in our LA.
