I haven't been on and blocked the latest - thanks to all who post them up but this morning when I added a site to our filter I used the option to report the site to South west Grid for Learning and suggested they might find it useful to monitor this thread to pick up useful information about sites to block.

Just found https://www.proxydot.net - another one to block (looks like it works on http as well).

As fast as they are blocked new ones appear. I'm curious as to how these sites exist - it must cost to run them, do they make their money back in ad revenue ?

Yes - this is purely a moneymaking exercise - they will usually have google ads on the front page, as these are most profitable, but Googles ToU doesn't allow you to put ads on proxied sites specifically, so there'll be less effective advertising on there.

Any that have no ads are likely to be involved in something nefarious.

    Edit: Also:

    Link: http://76.76.9.44/

This appears to be a long list of Facebook 'enabling' proxies. It does not work properly here but I can see enough to get the idea as to how it is intended to work.

I don't believe this is one to block Pete - the site was put together by a retired headteacher who in his time in teaching became fed up with kids using bad games. He checked out all the games on Friv4school so they are both safe and Educational.

Each to their own. Unfortunately it has been asked to be blocked here.
