I'm starting to see massive hits for rubiconproject.com and all its sub domains in my logs.

I know they say they are "web advert optimisers" but does anyone have any more info on what they do and why I'm starting to see massive hits?
I'm inclined to filter the sites, anyone see any reason not to?
