right. SWF filetype blocking via google.

Anyone have any suggestions about how to do this? It's becoming the bane of my life now...kids search using the filetype:swf string, and then go to town on games. Ruddy frustrating and never ending.

Proxywise, we have a Sophos WS1000 appliance. Good, but..doesn't appear to be overly "intelligent" (or should that be proactive?).

We also have PolicyCentral installed if anyone knows of a way to stop it using that instead maybe...

    Cheers all!

Bit crude... but a regular expression URL? Does the WS1000 support that?

This sort of trick is why we filter flash files to determine "gameyness" - so even if someone gets past the search filters, they get a black box with "flash blocked" instead of motocross madness or whatever
