    Hide Intranet Content on Website

I've been asked to feed our Life Channel onto our website but due to the fact that its hosted on ou 10.xxx.yyy.zz net the actual stream isn't accessible from outside of our LAN.

Now while I work on that problem (and I have a cunning plan for that one ) is there a way of making it "invisible" to viewers (such as yourselves) who are not on the LAN.

e.g I don't want you to be able to see the media player window at bottom right of home page.

    Can it be done?
(Its a joomla site in case there's a clever module to do the job

    regards

    Simon

I'd have thought a .htaccess for the relevant directory in Joomla would be the easiest way. Not sure how graceful that'd be for those outside the network but work a try.

This assumes that the media content is in a subfolder seperate from the rest of the Joomla content of course

You could do this with some JS/Ajax. Have a simple text file locally and do a Ajax call to see if it can fetch the file if yes show the box if no don't.
