    Why can't I block http://imageshack.us ???

The kids have started using Imageshack (ImageShack® - Online Media Hosting) which contains some rather unsavoury images.

We have tried to block the site on our Smoothwall box, but it won't block!

    We have a Smoothwall SWG-708.

Tried all the usual checks, but it's still there.....

Anyone encountered this problem?..or got any suggestions?

    All help welcomed.

    Thanks - Andrew

Don't have a Smoothwall box, just have this blocked on Censornet but what are you blocking (URL/domain/IP etc)?

If you're blocking ImageShack® - Online Media Hosting, all the images are served from img*.imageshack.us/someurl so you'd need to tweak what you're blocking...

I suggest a PM to tom_newton, he "is" smoothwall and posts regularly on here.

Is imageshack already in an over-riding whitelist?

    Not that I know of.

I have checked all of the possible places it might be hiding and nothing. It's most bizarre....

When viewing the web log filter at 'information > logs > web filter' you can restrict the view to imageshack.us using the 'Domain filter'.

What appears here? Do any of the logged entries show an "EXCEPTION"?

This is over regular HTTP? Maybe HTTPS is not being filterd for whatever reason. The only place the whole domain is listed in imagehosting->moderated so that is the place to look for accidental white listery.
