Intranet site - all i want is links and messages

As much as i enjoy traipsing through millions of CMSs and the many themes and addons for them i think ill ask here first.
Our current intranet is Postnuke1986 or something like that, its broke, and wasnt really the most suitable for the task.

All we need is links and admin messages. Im half tempted to just write one myself but then that would yet another thing which only i can maintain.

So... any suggestions on a CMS which is suited to mainly links and messages?

Not as basic as you want but Website Baker.

Also you can apprently archive what you want with Sharepoint using the announcements module stuff.

Try having a look at opensourcecms.com that should have demos and such.

Edit: also perhaps look at Wordpress, Its a blog by trade but since you just want to push out links and admin messages and the likes it should work fine.

Whenever i think web i just blank out MS so sharepoint didnt even enter my mind. Ill have a look
