    I just this back from smoothwall support:

    The Youtube safety feature and Youtube comment removal features should be set as an apply rule. You may also like to ensure that modified URL's are rechecked to prevent overblocking by selecting the 'Recheck modified URLs' box on the following page:

    Guardian > Proxy > Web Proxy > Click 'Advanced' > Check the 'Re-check Modified URLs' box.
    Ours was not checked. Do you think this wil help?

    This won't make a difference unfortunately. The issue with Safety Mode is that YouTube's underlying implementation changed, and hence the interaction with Smoothwall. It won't be fixed without work from both sides, I'm sorry to say.

    I'll double check all of our guys in support are aware of the situation. We have some new guys and girls who may never have got the memo :-)
