This might seem like a daft question but why do you want IE8 on a non-internetted (new word?) computerI require a full install for PC's without an Internet link.
Have you considered using WSUS? [ame=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_Server_Update_Services]Windows Server Update Services - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia[/ame] - or are these computers not even on the lan?
I see. Are any of these machines the same as others with internet connection. If so could you try imaging?
I've found what is supposed to be an offline installer but it looks the same 16.1 Mb file as before http://download.microsoft.com/downlo...XP-x86-ENU.exe

Oh right.
There are beta version available to download, and also the administrators deployment toolkit. The latter's probably your best bet, as it was pushed as a download. So you just need somewhere central that is 'internetted' to push it out from.
So...it looks like MS don't provide a full install...?
For a network or corporate install download IEAK for IE8 you can then download and customise it to your environment. Once that is done you can deploy or install without an internet connection.
MS provide a CD...but only if you live in the USA?
I had tried the IEAK, but it doesn't provide a 'virgin' product. It has resided on another PC before being installed on the secure LAN.
My bosses are that strict...and I can't believe MS did this...or rather, I should have expected it.
Sorry I don't undestand this.I had tried the IEAK, but it doesn't provide a 'virgin' product. It has resided on another PC before being installed on the secure LAN.
You download IEAK you then are prompted to download IE8 full install.
Wherever it comes from it has already resided on a PC or server.
