Is anyone else having problems with the email or is it just me?

Is anyone else having problems with the email or is it just me?
I'm not in Birmingham so I can't answer that, however if you need someone to send an e-mail in from an external source (in addition to the EduGeek notification you will get) let me know.
I could post an NDR (if I get one) here if that would help.
When don't we have troubles with Birmingham email?
No-ones moaned today but most of the kids are at Drayton Manor.
Was (not) amused when I had a chap from BGFL ring me to say an email problem had been solved - netmedia thought a particular site was spam. It also turned out that anything from BGFL itself netmedia considered spam...
Little miss i have just accessed mymail ok what is the problem you are having
I've just checked mine and it seems to be working fine.

Birmingham's BGFL Plus system is by no means perfect and the best advice would be to log a call if you're experiencing problems. I've checked a few of my accounts this morning and they were all OK.
BGFL are upgrading the software this weekend, Sunday - Monday so you never know, it may fix the problems you're experiencing.
Is it just BGFL Plus you're having problems with? What about trying Hotmail, Yahoo, Gmail and internet browsing in general?
Birmingham have also published a new update to Policy Central, so workstations will be upto 3.0.0.8. I've been told this should fix the problems between IE and the security update released in June 2009 which conflicts with Policy Central. As a recommendation, you may want to manually push out the update to your workstations (if you know how to do this).

Hmm, just dont seem to have any outgoing at the moment....

Interesting you say that. Are you using Outlook to check your e-mails? A few of the admin users I look after complained that occasionally they're getting POP3 errors. I wonder if there are still occasional problems with their mail servers?Hmm, just dont seem to have any outgoing at the moment....
