Moving Digital Certificates
Have just built a new PC for someone and exported their Digital Certificates, which they need to access certain sites that they use for work, from their old system and then imported them back into the new PC. However when they come to access those sites the certificates are not recognised and this is now causing me a great deal of aggro as I need to get it sorted. To me it looks like the certificates were tied to the pc in some way and that they are going to need to get new certificates but I would like your opinion before I tell them this.

Have you exported the private key portion of the certificate as well?

Is this Internet Explorer on Windows you're using? Is whatever organisation that signed the certificate reconsigned by the new computer?
