26th May 2009, 03:05 PM #2 Interesting...was this a free upgrade? Is this something Virgin are rolling out across the UK now? I upgraded my 2MB connection to 10MB a few months back >.>

26th May 2009, 03:06 PM #3 They announced a while back that all 2Mb users would be bumped up to 10Mb...and I pay the same as I did for 2Mb!

Have you registered on the website?
They have not been telling customers to do this AFAIK but the website said that by registering I could be one of the first to get the upgrade...I don't know if it made any difference but our area was originally listed as being done in July/August.

26th May 2009, 03:21 PM #6 How annoying. Wonder if I can get 10MB for the 2MB price I used to pay if I kick up a fuss.

26th May 2009, 03:35 PM #7 It's worth a go...last time I spoke to them I said I was thinking of leaving Virgin and they dropped the price on the spot!

26th May 2009, 03:40 PM #8 Very nice!
Also, I must point out:

:/

26th May 2009, 03:44 PM #9 It's worth noting that although the "new" 10mb customers coming from the 2mb upgrade package (M) are paying less than existing 10mb customers from the L package, the M package customers get less bandwidth allowances before STM kicks in.
Still, you're basically getting the same speed as L customers most of the time and if you're not bandwidth greedy, for a few pound less each month.

Not bad at all considering its costing me less than half the price for double the speed
