School Guardian 08 help!!!

Found an issue this morning with my school gaurdian 08 box. the proxy service and the database service won't run. restarting it won't make any difference and hasn't. can some body give me a few pointers on where to start with this. i've checked all the settings and they all seem fine.

Ouch - sounds like it could be a disk issue. Have you checked your HD is not full?

Would suggest contacting support ASAP!

That was gonna be my next question. how do i clear the var/log files? thats full! thought it may have something to do with that.

Web interface:
Go into information/logging

check:
Delete old logs when free space is low
and set a threshold

via ssh, you can log in and delete large, old files under /var/log with little ill effect.
Support will be able to guide you with that.

Call support. They are excellent and helped me sort my box out (same-ish problem) and also helped me optimise a few things and also a quick tutorial on the filtering. Just Brilliant. Definitely a yardstick for other companies.

clearing the logs seems to have sorted it all out now. many thanks to your speedy reply.
