We've recently taken on (yes SmoothWall continue to grow) a dedicated Development Manager and he, along with Tom and our support staff will be organising a more formal beta testing programme. This means some people will have access to stuff sooner and can bend our ear more. If interested, for now, contact Tom.

Monday is still the plan unless anything pretty major crops up in our testing at the very last minute. There are some minor blemishes we already know about and these will be addressed within a couple of weeks of release most likely.

Good to see some of you are looking forward to having some new toys!

I've just left the southampton office to find my flybe flight to Leeds has been binned. Gah. Should have taken the boss's advice an flown the more costly, but more reliable option - SmoothWall customer Eastern Airways

My short sojourn on the south coast has been informative - as Dan says, we have Flemming, our new dev manager, so I have spent my days discussing FP3, and the next version (2010) with them. There are going to be some big changes...

All those who responded to my calls for testing help - I haven't forgotten you. We've already managed one demo of the new interface (thanks Tony), and we will be gathering more opinions form you folk over the coming months.

FN: Right this second, not a lot except patches. OTOH, there's *big* plans for 4.0 over the next 12 months, just in the process of getting them finalised. Hopefully include a lot more open access to our community as well...

It won't be 8am. Late morning at the earliest. And even still it is possible a last minute huge bug might be found thus delaying.

    Also you should read this:
    https://support.smoothwall.net/index...barticleid=340
before rushing to upgrade in case some of the issues affect you. We already have fixes but it takes time to test so those it will be at some point during April they will be released

That article will be updated as more information becomes available.
