    Squidguard by IP

    I am trying to get squidGuard to work selectively - a few IP address ranges get one rule set and everything else does the other range.

    Code:
    dbhome /var/lib/squidguard/db
    logdir /var/log/squid

    rew youtube {
     s@(http://www.youtube.com/watch\?v=.*)@\1\&edufilter=STUFFHERE
    }

    src teachers {
            ip 10.46.11.2-10.46.11.126
            ip 10.5.140.2-10.5.140.126
            ip 10.5.143.167/32
    }

    acl {
            teachers {
                    pass any
            } else {
                    pass any
                    rewrite youtube
            }
            default {
                    pass none
            }
    }
    However, this refuses to work. As it stands, the rewrite rule is being ignored and youtube is not being rewritten.

    What am I doing wrong?

    Have you tried with just blocking sites to confirm the IP matching is working.

    You may also want to try putting the REW above the pass any.

    It's 3 years now since I have used SG so very fuzzy.... I should have my old config somewhere....
