    Outbound port...

    Hi All,

I have been asked to provide information on our network, firewall, proxy, dns server etc.

Obviously I'm a little uncomfortable with this (as I spend enough time making sure this info is safely guarded lol), but the reasons for asking is genuine.

    One of the questions is:

Is outbound TCP/443 permitted on the school’s network?

I have to say I have no idea and no idea how to find out!

    Any suggestions?

    Kol.

Yes its outbound secure web requests - if this is to do with software etc needing access always specify yes outbound 443 is possible but its subject to a proxy server(if you use one)
