    Sky Router Stats App

While dealing with my sky ADSL router cutting out while the phone was used, I've made a little app that reads the info from the Sky Router Statistics page and displays it, refreshing every 3 seconds.

    Attachment 20258

If you want a copy, find it attached.

You will need to edit the SkyStats.exe.config file first, and set the IP address of your sky router (default is 192.168.0.1 I think, I changed mine to 10.0.0.138)

Right clicking on the app will allow you run the app automatically at startup.

Crashing out here for me sadly (not ran debugger yet) but its a nice idea. Tip, it could default to the network connections gateway ip which is usually the sky router.

Ah, could just work for my version of the sky router.

Can you go to http://192.168.0.1/sky_system.html, and if you could PM me the HTML on that page I will have a look and see if I can figure out where it's failing.

It should work on all but the Netgear router, as they all produce the same HTML page in later models

Try this app, it will generate the html page to email to me if it finds an error, and it uses the default gateway for the ip address

New version, which works with the Sky Hub, and should work with the other models of the Sky Router

Yer I was shocked too, but I have a 16 port gig switch sat in front of it, so it's not too bad for me

Nick...the app wants me to give you a blank HTML page...literally nothing in it, opened with windebug, notepad++ or anything else.

Not an authentication issue ? Just asking as that is the very first thing it prompted me for was the routers admin credentials username and password before it displayed those details

Have you changed the admin details? I've preprogrammed it with admin/sky

I never leave routers at defaults lol.... detect a 401 http code and then run a prompt for auth details. Its basic auth so pretty easy to rope in.
